More than 10 years ago Richard Drax established his quarterly meeting with farmers, which flourished until the General Election. He passed their concerns to Government, working closely with the NFU at both local and national level. He fought to ensure that food production remained a top priority for government. Sadly Labour don't care about farmers and self sufficiency in food production and are determined to cover more and more farmland in housing, wind turbines and solar panels.
