Purbeck District Council

Eight wards from Purbeck District Council fall into our constituency: Castle ward, Creech Barrow, Langton ward, Swanage North, Swanage South, West Purbeck, Winfrith and Wool ward. Four of those wards were recently up for election. We held out seats in Swanage North and Swanage South when both Bill Trite and Mike Pratt were re-elected. Unfortunately our candidates in Castle ward and Wool ward, Sue Sides and Richard Ley, were unsuccessful this time. The seats in Purbeck District Council are now distributed as follows: 12 Conservatives, 10 Liberal Democrats and 2 Independents.
